Status of Position:

100% Full-Time REPLACEMENT

Salary Scale:

$26.38 to $35.22 hourly rate

 nATURE OF THE WORK

The administrative technician’s primary responsibility will consist of performing various technical tasks related to the management of financial resources, development and implementation of standards, and activities related to administrative operations. Among other tasks, you will be required to prepare accounting entries, reconciliations, and carry out technical analyses of accounts and reports. In addition to the collection and analysis of data required for the budget preparation, you will also be required to:

  • Analyze and maintain the database of taxpayer information using GRICS TFP software;
  • Produce cut-off procedures and provide accurate transfer of taxation information into the accounting system;
  • Liaise with representatives of the French school boards and the bank to align procedures and ensure a smooth transfer of information;
  • Responsible for the preparation and emission of the annual school tax bills;
  • Responsible for the collection of school taxes including the processing of final notices and liaising with the bailiff and lawyers;
  • Prepare reports intended for the organizations concerned and ensure distribution;
  • Coordinate the work of the office agents in the taxation department and train them in new procedures where necessary

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold a Diploma of College Studies in Business Administration (3-year program) or related;
  • Have an excellent knowledge of Word and Excel. As a result, we require applicants to pass a test in Word and Excel with a passing grade of 60% before considering their application;
  • Have an excellent command of English and French both oral and written;
  • Have 3 years of experience in accounting and accounts receivables management, with emphasis on collection procedures;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
