CERTIFIED MAINTENANCE WORKER (electromechanic / MMF)

Position Description

This full-time regular position is currently available, reporting to the manager of equipment services of Material Resources at Riverside School Board maintenance shop, located at 7445 chemin Chambly, St. Hubert.

NATURE OF THE WORK :

The main role of the employee in this job class is to carry out maintenance work, repairs and renovations on the HVAC (HVAC) systems, as well as certain other building service equipment of the school board.

As part of his/her duties, he/she will be required to travel to various schools in the area.

 

TASKS :

The main tasks consist of carrying out general maintenance work, such as repairing and maintaining the ventilation system of simple mechanical and electromechanical installations. The employee will also take care of the preventive and curative maintenance of this equipment.

He/she is sometimes called upon to coordinate work carried out by subcontractors or less experienced or non-specialized workers.

If necessary, he/she performs any other related tasks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Hold a professional studies diploma in a relevant building specialty (such as MMF, refrigeration engineer, electromechanic or industrial mechanic) for the job class or hold a diploma or certificate of studies recognized as equivalence by the competent authority and have relevant experience.

 

OTHER MERITS:

– Have a Gas Card Gas Card

– Restricted equipment connection certification card (RCA)

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

– Knowledge of preventive and curative maintenance of HVAC systems and other service equipment;

– Master the French language and have a functional knowledge of the English language;

– Possess a valid class V driving license and a car when traveling within the territory;

– Be resourceful and autonomous;

– A medical certificate attesting that the candidate is physically capable of performing the work is required for all external candidates;

 

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. with a 45-minute lunch.

SALARY: $1,243.87 for a 38.75 hour week including retention premium of 15% ($27.92/hour + 15%).
