SOCIAL SERVICE OFFICER
The Eastern Shores School Board is seeking applications from interested candidates for the following position: Social Service Officer
STATUS -Supernumerary
WORKLOAD – 35 hours per week
HOURLY RATE – From $25.25 to $45.22 per hour
WORK SCHEDULE – Monday to Friday (schedule to be determined)
IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR – Coordinator of Complementary Services
INTENDED CLIENTELE – Students at NRHS, EIS and MBS (A vehicle is necessary)
NATURE OF THE WORK
The position of social service officer encompasses, in particular, responsibility for prevention, promotion, screening, support and intervention activities with students and groups of students experiencing or likely to experience emotional, family, social or school problems in order to foster the student’s optimal development and restore his or her social functioning in interaction with his
or her environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Schooling
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty, notably social work
