High School Social Studies Teacher (2) – Chateauguay, Qc FULL-TIME 100%
Position Description
The New Frontiers School Board is looking for two QUALIFIED Social studies teachers for Howard S. Billings High School for the 2024-2025 school year. Both positions are 100% replacement contracts for the year. One can start in October if needed.
Tasks:
- Present instruction and provide developmental and cognitive learning activities within authorized program guidelines.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to take appropriate action to meet individual student needs.
- Organize and supervise student activities.
- Provide support.
- Supervise students in his/her charge and other students in his/her presence.
- Monitor students’ lateness and absences and report them to the school administration according to the system in force.
- Perform other tasks usually assigned to teaching staff.
- Provide learning and development activities for students and participate in the development of student life at the school.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A valid Quebec teaching license.
