Computing Support & Networking Teachers (Part-Time)

Location: Verdun Adult and Career Center | Director: Michael Clark

The Lester B. Pearson School Board’s Continuing Education department is seeking qualified candidates for part-time teaching positions in the Computing Support and Networking program at the PEC and Verdun Adult and Career Center. This program leads to the DEP (Diplome d’etudes professionnelles) and prepares students for the job market at entry level.
Qualifications
- DEP/DEC or post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology
- Min. 5 years of industry experience
- Expert knowledge in one or more of:
- Windows OS Server/Workstation
- Linux
- Database programming
- Object oriented programming
- Cisco networking
- Computer Hardware
- Microsoft Office
- Excellent Communication skills in English and interpersonal skills
- Open to professional development
Responsibilities:
- Observe and evaluate student’s work.
- Assess progress, provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Plan course content and method of instruction.
- Select and assemble materials, supplies and equipment.
- Correct and grade final examinations.
- Plan, organize, and supervise the class in such a way as to promote student learning.
- Enter daily attendance in database.
