Salary :

In accordance with the provisions of the “Regulation Respecting the Conditions of Employment of Management Staff of School Boards” adopted by the Order of the Minister of Education (Class 7 – 84 101 $ to 112 133 $).

Nature of the work 

In accordance with the policies and practices of the School Board and the regulations of the Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ), the Principal must, on a daily basis, make administrative and pedagogical decisions pertaining to the school in order to foster the academic success of all students in accordance with the Education Act, the ETSB’s Commitment-to-Success Plan and policies.

The position entails, in particular, responsibility for the management of instructional and educational matters, human, financial, material and information resources, day care services and community relations. 

This position can be combined with a teaching workload or other administrative assignment for a full-time position.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Permanent teaching permit issued by the Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ.
  • Five to eight years of relevant experience.Other Considerations 
 
  • excellent leadership abilities and evidence of pedagogical leadership in his/her current setting;
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • mastery of the English and French languages (oral and written);
  • commitment to the implementation of the curriculum reform;
  • recognized as an effective teacher;
  • evidence of ongoing professional development;
  • knowledge of the developmental approach;
  • must be proficient in the use of computer technology;
  • ability to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints;
  • proven ability to work collegially with other administrators within a team.
