nATURE OF THE WORK
The secretary is responsible for assisting one or more people in carrying out secretarial tasks. In addition, as the secretary you will be required to:
  • Entering texts and various data into a computer from manuscripts or various sources and produces letters, tables, reports and other documents;
  • Receive and transfer telephone calls and provide general information; update records and registers and files, records, and documents;
  • Relay telephone messages and information of a general nature concerning supply teachers or, more specifically, communicates with parents concerning school attendance;
  • Compile, verify and enter data;
  • Use a computer and the necessary software to perform your duties related to word processing, database entry, spreadsheets and in-house programs.
 
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in a specialty appropriate for the class of employment, a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority;
  • Have the ability to work effectively in French and in English; for this purpose, we require applicants to pass a test in English with a passing grade of 60%;
  • Have an excellent knowledge of Word; for this purpose, we require applicants to pass a test in Word with a passing grade of 60%;
  • Have a basic knowledge of office automation;
  • Knowledge of the GPI system and Excel software would be considered an asset
