Qualified High School Music Teacher – Westwood Jr & Westwood Sr High Schools
Position Description
The Lester B. Pearson School Board is seeking a qualified Music teacher to join our team and teach across two of our high schools, starting January 2026 until the end of the school year.

2800 Rue Du Bordelais, Saint-Lazare, QC J7T 3E3
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective music instruction
- Manage and oversee the band program
- Foster a love of music and creativity in students from diverse backgrounds.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Must Hold a valid Quebec teaching certificate (brevet).
Note: Applicants without this certification will not be considered. - Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Music or have at least 5 years of experience teaching music at elementary & secondary levels.
- Have experience leading and managing comprehensive a band program; building and expanding band programs to increase student participation and performance quality
- Demonstrate a strong passion for education and a commitment to student success.
Current salary classification for teachers on a contract:
- $52,799 – $102,857 based on experience and educational qualifications.
